We are redefining computing with LLM agents. Our team of seasoned software engineers and AI experts are committed to making complex software more accessible to everyone, improving information retrieval and task performance. We achieve improved communication between humans and machines through the simplest form of interaction: conversation.
Our Mission & Vision
Software is embedded in every part of our society. Hospitals, businesses, universities, and many other types of organizations all heavily rely on software. The most critical operations are usually dependent on a form of complex software. All this software is run by people. In a typical day at work, the average number of apps an employee might use is 11. Complex software can be confusing, hard to learn, and sometimes extremely repetitive. We aim to revolutionize the way users interact with complex software by making it more accessible and intuitive than ever before. Overlay will explain. Overlay will teach. Overlay will do. Overlay will become everyone’s best complex software companion. The more accessible software becomes, the more people will be able to participate in today’s economy, leveling the field of opportunities for all (SDG 8, 9, 10).
Our Story

Founding of Overlay
Overlay was born in X-Tech from a common frustration: complex software essential to industries like manufacturing, healthcare, and logistics often hinders productivity.
May 2024
First Prototype Development
We developed our first MVP prototype, overcoming challenges in creating new technology and refining key elements.
May 2024
Winning X-Tech
We were one of the winners of X-Tech, securing our spot in X-Tech+, getting extra support from DTU, a board and 10.000 DKK in founding
October 2024
Securing First Customer Agreement
We secured our first customer agreement with ROBEX A/S, marking a significant milestone.
October 2024
Joining CSE Accelerator
We joined the Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship accelerator, gaining valuable support and resources.
October 2024
Accepted into Microsoft & Google Startup Programs
Overlay was accepted into the Microsoft and Google startup programs, gaining industry recognition along with valuable resources such as free cloud space.
December 2024
First functioning Prototype
We showcased the first functional prototype of Overlay, enabling users to query RobEX, extract and organize data, and execute select actions seamlessly.
February 2025
Accepted into Skylab Incubator at DTU
Overlay was selected for the DTU Skylab Incubator for Spring 2025, gaining dedicated workspace, access to state-of-the-art labs and facilities, and the opportunity to connect with a thriving network of innovative startups.
